Vincent Scott

Thorpe Creek Elementary

Quick! Think of your favorite teacher that you had in school, and what made them your favorite? The teacher that made you think, laugh, that made you feel like you were capable of great things...
For my daughter, that teacher has been Mr. Scott. My daughter is such a free spirit that it’s often hard to get her to get out of her own universe inside her head and focus. But Mr. Scott has been so great about being patient and engaging where other teachers might be frustrated and mad. He knows WHO she is, and why she is, and I feel like he really gets her. I’m so thankful that they were paired together for this 4th grade year. I truly believe that he will be the teacher that she looks back on and says ‘He was the one who made a difference’. I already do.

We have had a hard year transitioning into a normal classroom and we can only hope that Mrs. Mohr can help teachers and kids all over our school district learn to do what she was capable of doing in the classroom.
